Reinforced Demand Side Management for Educational Institution with Incorporation of User’s Comfort

Soaring energy demand and the establishment of various trends in market have paved way for developing demand-side management (DSM) from consumer side. This paper proposes a reinforced DSM (RDSM) approach that uses an enhanced binary gray wolf optimization algorithm (EBGWO) benefits premises with load scheduling, peak reduction. To date, research has been carried out residential, commercial industrial loads, whereas approaches educational loads less studied. The institution also consumes much utility during hours, making institutional consumers pay high amount cost consumption hours. proposed objective is to reduce total electricity improve operating efficiency entire profile at institution. architecture integrates solar PV (SPV) generation supplies user-comfort User comfort determined metric termed user index (UCI). novelty work highlighted by modeling separate class temperature-controlled air conditioners (AC), supplying SPV determining percentage UCI. improved transfer function used EBGWO performs faster optimizing nonlinear problems. price hours compared off-peak shift schedules incorporating satisfying aids reducing power Thus, greatly helps side decrease peak-to-average ratio (PAR), significantly, demand, save institution’s USD 653.046.
